Itinerary
DAY 01: ARRIVAL MUNICH AIRPORT (Thursday)
Arrival to the Munich Airport. Transfer by S‑Train from Munich Airport to Munich central station. In the afternoon enjoy a guided city tour of Munich which includes the City center, Nymphenburg Palace and BMW World. Overnight at central-located 3 or 4‑star Hotel in Munich close to Munich’s central station.
DAY 02: EXCURSION TO INNSBRUCK & WATTENS (Friday)
Breakfast is at your hotel. Today’s tour is guiding you along some of Bavaria’s most beautiful lakes, through the Karwendel-mountains to Innsbruck, city of the “Golden Roof” in Austria. One of the highlights of this extraordinary excursion is for sure the visit of Swarovski’s “Crystal Worlds” in Wattens. Drive back to Munich in the late afternoon. Overnight at your hotel in Munich. DAY 03: EXCURSION TO BAVARIAN ROYAL CASTLES (Saturday)
Breakfast is at hotel. Hidden in the seclusion of the mountains King Ludwig II built two of his dream castles. Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. This excursion shows you to extraordinary castles, both testifying to the vision of Bavaria’s fairytale King. A short shopping stop in Oberammergau is also included today. After your visit at Neuschwanstein castle you have some time for lunch at your leisure. In the late afternoon we drive back to your hotel in Munich.

DAY 04: EXCURSION TO ZUGSPITZE MOUNTAIN (Sunday)
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel. Our full day excursion today, shows us Germany’s highest mountain — Zugspitze. Our first stop today will be made in Ettal where we can see the famous Ettal monastery. Then we drive to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and on to Eibsee where we take the cable-car to the summit of the Zugspitze (9.788 ft.). On a clear day you can see over a thousand Bavarian, Austrian, Swiss and Italian mountain peaks. Descent by cog-wheel train. After a beautiful day on the mountain we drive back to Munich. Overnight in Munich. (B)
DAY 05: EXCURSION TO ROYAL CASTLE OF HERRENCHIEMSEE (Monday)
After breakfast, transfer to Chiemsee. Here on the largest of the Bavarian lakes, Chiemsee, we take a boat ride to the Herreninsel, where you visit King Ludwig’s II castle, a replica of the palace of Versailles. We continue by boat to Fraueninsel to visit the Benedictine church and walk on the island. In the afternoon we take the boat back to Prien. Our coach brings us back to Munich within 1 hrs. Overnight in Munich. (B).
DAY 06: SALZBURG (Tuesday)
Breakfast at hotel. After checking out of your hotel, take a 2 hour train ride to Salzburg. Welcome to the city of Mozart! Check-in at your central located 3 or 4‑star Hotel in Salzburg near to the Mirabell gardens. In the early afternoon we start our city tour of Salzburg. Included in this tour is a 1 ½ hours bus tour showing you the main sights of Salzburg. The tour gives you an insight into the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque aspects of the city as Mozart saw it. After the bus tour, you will visit the newly reopened Mozart Residence, on Makart Square.

DAY 07: EXCURSION TO BAVARIAN MOUNTAINS & SALT MINES (Wednesday)
Following breakfast at the hotel, something very different awaits you today!
After we have past the hunting castle Hellbrunn we cross the Austrian-Bavarian border. Along the Königseeache valley, through the Bavarian mountains, past romantic farmhouses and the ruins of Obersalzberg — Hitler’s former mountain retreat — we arrive at the highlight of the journey, the 500-year-old Salt-mines. Wearing the traditional miners’ clothing, you enter the mines and hear the historical as well as the legendary tales of the fascinating underground world. Using the same slides as hundreds of miners before you, you go down a 100-foot-long slide into the grottos, the magical world beneath the surface of the earth. With a raft ride on the salt lake and a miniature train ride we end our romantic and educational adventure.
Afterwards you have the chance to regain your strength with some Bavarian specialities during a stop in Berchtesgaden. Drive back to Salzburg. Overnight at your hotel in Salzburg. (B)
DAY 08: SALZBURG – MUNICH AIRPORT DEPARTURE (Thursday)
Train ride from Salzburg to the Munich Airport in time to board your flight home.
