The 2012 Christmas markets are in full swing now thru December 24 throughout Switzerland. Mostly notably is the Montreax market considered to be the largest however when I visited it a couple of years ago I was disappointed in the quality of the gifts for sale. This market had more food and drink for sale than handmade or unusual gifts. Lucerne’s train station is converted to a magical Christmas mall with lots of colorful stalls selling all sort of gift items. Zurich has the largest singing Christmas tree you may ever see. My favorite Christmas market is the Basel market which has the largest selection of handmade wooden toys and old fashioned Christmas ornaments that reminded me of my early childhood. Of course you must try the Gluhwein, the hot mulled wine which warms you instantly as you meander the highly decorated streets and stalls.

I’m Dirk van de Wardt, from Holland. I’d lik to know if there’s any chance to join your christmas markets. This year I was present in Manchester and Liverpool, Uk. My selling pruduct is cristmas trees, Christmas decorations with living plants. I also sell Amaryllus, a real cristmas bulb. This year I also was invited and present in Gotenborg, Sweden. In Manchester the organisation let me have tree stalls. One the biggest is about 40 metres long, wich is a nice presentation for the market. Hope for a positive reaction.
Dirk van de wardt.
Mr. Van de wardt, I am sure your products could be very interesting in the Swiss Christmas markets. I suggest you contact the local cities to learn more information about participating in time for next Christmas season.
Wonderful blog! I found it while surfing around
on Yahoo News. Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo
News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Cheers
Thank you very much for appreciating our blog. I suppose if you write sincerely about things people may be interesting in reading, Yahoo News will find you.
