I just returned from Carnevale 2012 in Venice and it was fantastic! Saint Mark’s Square was a moving and changing theatrical stage with crowds in costume and professional photographers from all over the world trying to capture alluring images. The Florian Cafe in the evening seemed transpired in time as the elegantly dressed people in period costumes gathered for beverages and cheer! Visit Venice at any time of the year and you will find the spirit of Carnevale alive in the masks and photographs all over the city.
